How does it work ?
In my previous article Hypnosis and the Martial Arts we explored how hypnotherapy can be used in Martial Arts to assist in controlling fear, anxiety, stress and enhancing our confidence and focus.
Before, being able to receive hypnotherapy online the only option was to either attend a qualified hypnotherapist in person or listen to a pre-recorded cassette. I guess you could have also used a telephone but this may have not been so practical.

In the 21st Century there are more options
Pre-recorded
Pre-recorded audio/visual files on CDs, DVDs, electronic files or on Youtube and similar platforms. These can be used alone and at anytime to suit your own time table. A quiet space away from distractions is very advisable. Pre-recordings can be a generic recording from somewhere like youtube or an audibook. Some are free but if you require a tailor made personal one to suit your individual needs then a qualified hypnotherapist can prepare one for you. This would normally involve a fee for their professional time.
Live
Probably the most effective way to receive hypnotherapy if you are unable to meet up. A live interaction by a platform such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Facetime is a viable good alternative that will work well. Live interaction will enable both the therapist and yourself to get to know each other on a more personal level by sharing opinions, thoughts, concerns and discussing the content of a personalised session. It will also assist in staying focussed on the therapy and not being distracted. Also you are more likely to benefit from ongoing sessions if you are going live at a particular mutual time of day.
There is no difference in the effectiveness of doing hypnotherapy online compared to meeting in person. In fact it can be more relaxing in the comfort of your own home and also you can avoid a stressful journey.
For Martial Arts
At the heart of all katas and martial art movements is concentration – the memory for how to do it properly which means having the focus to maintain the proper movements.
Prepare for competition with hypnotherapy, improve focus, confidence, relax your body and mind to perform techniques faster.
You may have taken up Martial Arts if your goal is to overcoming the fear of violent confrontation.
You may also want to enhance your meditation practice and stop your mind from drifting and being interrupted by outside influence.
Over the coming months I will be preparing Zing Zang Martial Arts to provide online personalised hypnotherapy sessions. Sessions can be up to six sessions and normally last between 20 minutes and a hour.
